Violation.
The NEA has a structured grievance mechanism for reporting environmental violations and complaints from the public. All reports are investigated and followed up by our inspectorate officers.
How It Works
Submit your report
Use our online E-Form, send an email to info@nea.gm, or call our hotline to lodge a complaint.
Acknowledgement
Our team will acknowledge receipt of your report within 48 hours and assign a case officer.
Investigation
Inspectorate officers will visit the site, gather evidence, and assess the violation.
Resolution & follow-up
Enforcement actions are taken, violators are sanctioned, and complainants are notified of the outcome.

National Implementation Plan
A National Implementation Plan (NIP) is a strategic national framework that outlines how The Gambia will fulfill its obligations under international environmental conventions and agreements. The plan identifies environmental challenges, establishes national priorities, defines implementation strategies, and provides a roadmap for government institutions, development partners, private sector organizations, and communities to address environmental issues in a coordinated and sustainable manner.
